Welcome to the website of the Newent Cycling Group

We are a friendly local group, enjoying easy-paced rides around the country lanes of north Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Wednesday morning and weekend rides take place throughout the year. We also try to arrange a ride every Thursday evening when the evenings get lighter.

Bike Week 2026 – A Summer Ride on the Newent Loop

As part of Bike Week 2026, Newent Cycling Group organised a ride on the Newent Loop, supported by Gloucestershire County Council on Sunday 14 June. The event was a great success and a report can be found here.

Anyone of a reasonable ability and fitness level who enjoys riding a bike, is welcome to join our group and come cycling with us. Electric bikes are proving very popular with some members of our group. You can give us a try before you join so come along and meet us.
